Annapolis Powerboat School was founded in 1996 on the premise that the best way to learn was by doing. Keeping theoretical considerations to the bare minimum, this hands-on approach to learning has proven successful for the nearly two thousand new power boaters during our first ten years.

The objective of our powerboat courses is simply stated: our graduates will be competent and safe powerboat operators, who possess basic operating skills and appreciate the joys of boating. New boat owners find the instructional program to be comprehensive, rewarding, and, most importantly, a tremendous confidence builder.

Experienced boaters will find the small class size and emphasis on hands-on practice an excellent way to fill in gaps in knowledge and will appreciate the opportunity to practice new skills and techniques in a non-threatening environment.
